Our Story
Twisted Vine Brewery is the brainchild of 3 guys who, quite simply, just love to drink great beer. Given we like to drink it so much, making it ourselves seemed the only logical next step. So, after many combined years of prolific home brewing under our belts, and basements and garages filled with coolers, kegs, and gadgets of all description, we decided to focus our passion on providing artisan beers to the local community.
Our Mission
Our unpretentious little 1 barrel operation is tucked within the beautiful Madison County Winery located in the picturesque hills and valleys of south central Iowa. And although surrounded by uniquely excellent Iowa wines, our zeal to produce truly unique beers is our sole mission. We are smaller than a microbrewery and painstakingly hand craft every beer we brew; we’re too small to produce a skunky batch and fastidiously fret about every pint. We really like it that way, and we think you will too. Most importantly – for both us and you, our customers – is that we have fun brewing beer. This is a part-time gig for all 3 of us and we truly enjoy the art, science and history of brewing and most importantly, bringing smiles to those who appreciate a meticulously produced pint!
We invite you to come out and share our enthusiasm and tip a few at the Madison County Winery. Additionally, look for our beers at select pubs around the greater Des Moines area.
